Vonage Review: Rebound
12/09/09Pros:
Great voice quality, great features, great web management interface, unlimited calling to the countries I need to call.
Cons:
Would be nice to use their service via my android mobile on WLAN.
Other Thoughts:
I was a vonage customer for a couple years. When T-Mobile brought out their service for $9.99 a month, I switched. I thought all the services were the same. I was wrong. T-mobiles Voip service kept going out and I had to keep reseting the router. There was no web management interface, very few features, and they locked me into a 2 year contract like it was a cell phone. I'm back with Vonage. Maybe not the cheapest, but I love the product. I've never had to call customer service, so I can't review that.
Vonage Review: Vonage Sucks
10/13/09Pros:
Lots of features and decent online account management.
Cons:
Poor customer service - rude reps. If you make lots of calls, beware of their false advertising of "UNLIMITED" minutes. They double your rates when you go over 5000 minutes. I will not recommend Vonage. Try other cheaper and better VoIP providers.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Vonage sucks. After 3 years of being a loyal customer, they treated me like crap.

02/13/09Pros:
Great sound quality(with good internet) and many usefull options. Easy to navigate webmanagement console. Works pretty well.
Cons:
Sometimes adapter freezes and needed to be powerd down for 3-4 min. Very sencetive power adapter. Overseas customer support is bad, but most problems can be fixed just by resetting the router.
Other Thoughts:
I've been Vonage customer for 3+ years , and got some problems with cal quality at first, but problem was found at my cable provider (poor internet quality). Once fixed I haven't got any major issues with service. Some time Voip router will freeze and needed to be powered down for no less than 4 minutes in order to get working right. This problem was fixed with installing power line conditioner (power adapter for VOIP device is really secetive). otherwise I like this service and will keep it. Customer service guys (in India) are sucks. I love voicemail and forwarding options. Also web acount manangement are really great. I would recommend this service, but you guys really need to make sure you have good stable high speed internet.

None listed
Cons:
Vonage will slam on you fees when you try to cancel their services. Despite my protest to be charged these fees which they did not inform me about at the time of sign they still went ahead and charged my account anyway. I am here to warn all prospective victims about these fraudulent charges by Vonage. They lock you in a secret contract without your knowledge and you will never know until the day you wish to cancel the services. I have been with them close to a year and decided to move on, only to be told there is a 39.99 cancellation fees and rebate fees recovery for equipment all totalling $118.
