03/27/10Pros:
I have been with these folks for almost 10 years. Service has been good. But this has all changed in the past few weeks. See cons below.
Cons:
Dishonest billing practices. Recent unannounced change in policies and pricing. Hidden charges not revealed on their website pricing pages.
Other Thoughts:
This week I received my billing statement and without warning, Voicepulse has added a 30% surcharge to my account. They say it is because their "regulatory costs" have increased. No polite warning. Just a quick deduction of the funds from my bank. This is unprofessional, and not having given approval for this surcharge, it is likely illegal. In addition, they offer to configure my Caller ID Text, a new service. When I contacted them to set my Caller ID name, they said it would cost me $30 per line.
Something has changed at Voicepulse. New management or new owners. This is not the same company I signed up for 10 years ago. I am looking for a new provider.
Nothing on their website tells the new customer about the "Service Charge" or about their "minimum monthly charge of $10" also a new addition. Also nothing about charging $30 per line to set your Caller ID.
Dishonest and deceptive. You can expect more surrepticious charges and rate increases as their customer base flees to other providers and managment scrambles to keep the revenues from falling thru the floor.

02/15/09Pros:
My second try at VoIP and this company, VoicePulse, has been wonderful. Now I can block those insideous telemarketers and send my long winded friends directly to voicemail. I can turn the phone off with Do Not Disturb for a peaceful night's sleep. And most of my family and friends who used to be a long distance call are now local.
This company is the best. Two calls to customer service were answered immediately and the issues were resolved on the spot.
Unless we tell them no one knows we are using VoIP as the call quality is as clear as a landline.
I am shocked when I see some rantings being paraded as reviews when the writer has an axe to grind with this company. VoicePulse has been so good, especially customer service, it is incomprehensible that they are as vitriolic as those irate customers portray them.
Cons:
None listed
Other Thoughts:
If you try VoicePulse, they have a 30 day full refund policy if not satisfied; but you will be.

02/15/09Pros:
Nice variety of plans. Good customer service and tech support. Great! sound quality.
Cons:
Watch the fine print. You may be charged for call forwarding and other functions and feautres on the local plan.
Other Thoughts:
Only took 3 days to receive adapter. Pretty much plug-n-play. No problems so far.

02/15/09Pros:
Service works almost all the time. Pleased with the cost.
Cons:
No response to my issues. The difference between good and great is very small.
Other Thoughts:
Have had VP for nearly 4 years. There were minor outages early on in our relationship, but nothing significant in the last 2 years.
However, the response to non-mainstream issues is a problem. If a telephone response system calls you and you want to respond to it, the keytones may not get transfered back to the system. Same happens when my daughter tries to call the homework helpline. She has to use a cell to call the homework helpline. Problem was reported over 2 years ago.
Difference between good and great is very small. Would have been nice if they had elected to be great instead of just good.
