Cbeyond Review: Munzer

02/11/10

Pros:

None. On the surface, before the actual delivary of the service it appears to be an atractive deal but later you will find out it is not.

Cons:

Sales people will lie to you.

Other Thoughts:

If you are a victim of CBeyond's false promises and/or extortion then please contact munzer@OmnicureHomeHealth.com for a possible class action lawsuit against them.

Cbeyond Review: Engineer

03/13/09

Pros:

None listed

Cons:

I've had Cbeyond for about 20 months. My phones and internet were down for nearly a week recently. I was literally running my business off my blackberry. At this point I cannot even begin to calculate what this debacle has cost my business.

Other Thoughts:

Feature set is offset by aggressive and pushy sales force, pitiful reliability, and horrid customer service. I used to have Sprint for my personal cells phones - even they had better customer service than Cbeyond.

Cbeyond Review: Timemnts

03/11/09

Pros:

None listed

Cons:

Cbeyond is average until you have a problem, then you're up river without a paddle. I'd recommend someone else who can offer a little more and actually help you when the system goes down, which happens frequently.

Cbeyond Review: Kalla Cali

02/21/09

Pros:

Signed up with the beyondvoice package that has the 6 land-lines. Have to say: I am happy with the service and liked the fact that they offered a lot of features that were not just voice specific. Like the included 1.5Mbps internet access

Cons:

The downside is that I am fairly positive that I could find all this much cheaper. I also think I made a mistake by limiting my business to 1500 included monthly minutes as we are fast approaching this amount.

Other Thoughts:

Iended up at this web-site to check out different options. So although there are a number of features included at no extra cost(or so they say [like fax to email and toll free]), I feel like I am indirectly paying for them. I do like the good customer support.

Cbeyond Review: Scam Of The Century

01/12/09

Pros:

when its not down, the service is awesome and quality/speed is great. For what you get (internet and VoIP) the price is pretty good.

Cons:

The service frequently goes out. You sign a contract for a monthly fixed price of like $500, yet it ALWAYS comes out closer to $800-900/mo. Their support is incompentent (I feel like their level 3 techs are hired off the street w/ NO training)

Other Thoughts:

Here is my story: One day my tech (Gary Boyle from Aurora IT Consulting) mentions the savings i can get with a Beyond Voice package. I trust Gary and he does good work, so i agree to meet with with his "friend" Ernie Mcilquham, or Mcillenham or something. He seems like a nice guy and has won all these awards for top sales rep so i figure he must be a trusted sales rep if he is always winning all these awards.(i'll find out later that he receives all these awards because he is a complete con artist; but ill get to that later)

Ernie lays out all this paperwork infront of me explaining how much money i will be saving(i was so excited!) then page by page he turns the 28 page contract telling me what each page talks about and where to initial. Like an idiot, i sign without reading because i trusted that Ernie was telling me the truth - WRONG, worng!!!!

2 months into the service the outages begin, a few hours here, 4-6 hours there, and yes, even a few times where it was out for days!!!!

To my regreat i find that im stuck paying for a 3 year contract on CRAP service and 90% of the items Ernie said i was signing on my contract were LIES!

The SLA is a joke - 50 bucks for almost 6 hours of downtime - Ernie said if it was down for 6+ hours my bill would be cut in half

The price you pay is a Lie - Ernie said it would run around 500 a month (plus taxes) and most months it runs between $800-$900. i asked Ernie my out the door cost each month and he said $600 max, another Lie from Ernie.

Their techs know NOTHING! - there has been two instances where out service has gone out and the tech had no idea how to SSH into the IAD and reset the password. I had to hire a Cisco tech and pay him out of pocket - a theme it seems others that have posted also share.

When i call Cbeyond corporate headquarters to complain about Ernie they tell me that im lying and Ernie would have never said that???? Are you kidding me? I wish i had recorded when Ernie was having my sign contracts - lie after lie.

Im now stuck paying $800 bucks a month on a service i dont even use because its sooooo unreliable.

Local OC Business BEWARE of Ernie and Cbeyond!

Cbeyond Review: Gmaouary Kemp

01/06/09

Pros:

None listed

Cons:

Now that I know more about VoIP phone service and have come to find that there are tons of VoIP providers out there, I now think that I have been over-paying for what I am getting.

Other Thoughts:

The installation fee was a bit on the high side (like 500 bucks) so I have stuck around. I am now treating it as the sunk cost that it is and looking around for more affordable options. I'd be interested to find out what others are paying for a total small business package for around 10 lines.

Cbeyond Review: Sandoval 84

08/17/08

Pros:

they worked flawlessesly, BUT for only 2 months, then all hell BROKE lose

Cons:

downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime, downtime

Other Thoughts:

had it for a year now, and have had over 200+ hours of downtime (yes i keep an excel log)

to top it all off, they hire people off the street or so it seems to run their NOC. For god sakes, one tech was stuck rebuilding the config on the IAD because he didnt know the commands. I literally had to call up a cisco tech and pay him $250/hr. just to tell cBeyond how to do their job. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!

there SLA is the WORST on the plannet, dont be fooled, read the fine print. they will compensate you 1 day of you bill for every hour of downtime, BUT ONLY UP TO 5 HOURS!!!!

After that you get nothing!!!

And i have had 6 occasions where it has been down for 24hrs+
and 11 occasions where it has been down for over 5hrs+.

and i get like 200 bucks off a 2900 bill, are you kidding me (the sla discount is only for spoecific things, not the entire bill...also a crock)
